A New One to Try Out
Well, my search has resulted in a result, even if it's not really what I was looking for. I've got a spare box sitting at home, and I'm going to give Vector Linux a shot. From what I can gather, VL is a Slackware spin-off, with some updates - the major one being the 2.6 kernel. I have a feeling that VL isn't going to be any more stable/secure/etc. than any other distro out there, but I'd like to give it a shot nonetheless. What have I got to lose, besides all my "spare time"?
Update: Changed my mind; I'll be doing the Debian thing. Don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place, since my current distro is a Debian clone...
