Distro Junkie

I just went through a stack of spooled CDs containing burned ISO images of the various linux distributions that I've downloaded over the years. There were about 50 assorted CDs/DVDs on the spool in all; this made me realize that I am, in fact a, Distro Junkie - the type of person who impulsively downloads the latest version of any given distro, regardless of whether or not I actually intend to install it or not. In my defense, most of them were distributions that I've actually installed and tried out. Here's the short list (roughly in reverse cronologic order):

  • Ubuntu [Warty Warthog] (currently installed on both of my machines)
  • SUSE [9.1 Professional]
  • Fedora Core [1, 2, 3] (Note: FC3 was never fully installed)
  • Mandrake [9.2, 10.0] (These didn't last long with me...)
  • RedHat [7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, 9.0] (I was all about RedHat for a long time)
...and those that I downloaded without ever installing:
Hell, I even had Solaris 9.0 and FreeBSD 5.1 sitting in there! What distros have you tried out?
